Hi Everyone  - Thanks for joining TradeMatch.  

I've had the idea for this site for a long time, and put up a prototype about a month ago.   The idea was pretty simple.  What if we applied modern social networking technology to the area of international business development.  Specifically, by giving international trade professional access to really good collaboration tools, and trusting them to use those tools responsibly. 

I had already worked on this concept with the California Trade Network, but that site was intended for just California professionals.  Basically all I did was "clone" the site I had built at www.CalTrade.com/community and tweek it a bit to make this site.  I haven't gotten very far with this project - there are some real rough edges, but the project is finally underway.

You know how sometimes you will have an idea for a long time, and suddenly you have to do it.  What happened was the other day I got a messge from my Alibaba account - it turned out to be spam, but I decided to check out the site and update my profile when I was there.   I couldn't believe how crude that site was.  After I updated my profile, I was told it had to be "approved" and that this would take 24 hours.  This company has gotten literally billions in investment money, and that is the best they can do! 

I immediately decided I had to send a message out to my Ryze list - about 4000 people, even though the site is not really ready yet.   Now, I see that people are registering at a good clip and I am starting to panic!   All this is by way of saying please bear with me.   I will be making some great improvements to this site over the next few day, and the site is already getting some very cool members.
